Birch plywood · Manufactured in Latvia
Forest Ply is a new Latvian mill producing certified birch plywood for construction, transport and industry — FSC, CE and CARB compliant from day one.
The mill
Plywood has been made the same way for a century: thin veneers, laid cross-grain, bonded under heat and pressure. What changes is the precision.
Our production line in Latvia is being purpose-built around that idea — modern peeling, composing and pressing equipment, run by people who grew up around Baltic birch. First panels leave the mill this year.
The process

Birch logs are peeled into 1.5 mm veneer, dried to exact moisture and graded sheet by sheet. Only sound veneer moves forward — the rest becomes energy.

Veneers are glued and laid with alternating grain direction — the cross-ply structure that gives birch plywood its strength and dimensional stability.

The layered mats are pressed under controlled heat and pressure in a multi-daylight press, curing the glue line into a permanent structural bond.

Panels are trimmed, sanded to calibrated thickness and inspected. Every pack ships with its grade, batch and certificate documentation.
